Association Special Membership Meeting – 9/27

Association Special Membership Meeting 9/27 in the Annex. Registration begins at 12noon, meeting and voting 1:00pm

Special Meeting 9/27 info: 

• Section 4 lot owners are requesting separation from the Association. One of the requirements that needs to occur before the separation can take place is a preliminary vote by Sections 1 and 2 lot owners agreeing to go forward with the separation.
• The preliminary vote will be held at this Special Membership Meeting. A ballot will be issued to those members attending the meeting and who ARE CURRENT ON THEIR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS (lot assessments). If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may vote by proxy (meaning someone, who you designate, who IS attending the meeting will cast your vote. You may also contact a board member to list on your proxy and vote for you). Filled out proxies can be mailed to the Association address or dropped off at the Marina Store any day PRIOR to the day of the meeting. • Section 4 has included in their request for separation: “We plan to form our own HOA, elect our own Board of Directors and Officers in order to govern and maintain section 4 independently from Sea Gate Association.”
• 9 of the 80 lots in Section 4 have been paying assessments over the last few years. Section 4 separation would eliminate having to spend money on any court actions necessary to collect arrears. The separation would mean that they are responsible for establishing their own assessments for maintaining that section.
