Sea Gate Men’s Club

The Sea Gate Men’s Club (Roosters) is a loosely organized group of men from the community. We meet monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 6:00 PM at the Annex and enjoy a meal prepared by one of our members. Our basic focus is community service, from construction projects like playground equipment and dock repair to handicap ramps…. we make sawdust! To fund projects, we sponsor fundraisers where we prepare meals for donations…. these events are always a hit with the residents. Come out and join us and meet some good guys, we have a lot of fun!

SEA GATE BUCKET FUND

Q: What the heck is the “Bucket Fund”?

A: Donations by your friends and neighbors to help defray the costs of Sea Gate social gatherings like the “Low Country Boil” we all enjoyed on Sunday May 16th, 2021 at the Marina.

The Low Country Boil was privately funded. However, in order to keep momentum rolling towards community spirit, the Men’s & Women’s Clubs hope to help defray costs of similar future events through donations to the bucket fund. The clubs hope to promote values and community by sharing food, music, and camaraderie. Many of you know that the clubs have sponsored holiday gatherings at the Marina Annex, like parties for St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. But why not have more events on a regular basis? The costs can be prohibitive, but with community donations, we can all get together to have more fun and enjoy each other’s company during the summer season.

Q: How can bucket funds be spent?

A: Contact the Sea Gate Men’s Club or Women’s Club to present your idea for consideration.

Q: How much money is in the Bucket Fund?

A: Currently, thanks to generous donations, the Bucket Fund has a balance of $260.00!
